The Hydra To Open London Venue
After running a string of excellent sold out events, electronic promotions team The Hydra are taking the next logical step, and opening their own venue. Taking over the photographic studio 'Studio Spaces E1' as their new home, The Hydra have announced a series of parties to take place over the autumn, all complimented by a complete venue refit, including a new Funktion One soundsystem. Naming the venue the techno-as-you-like 'Unit 1 Warehouse', events kick off with a triple header party on August Bank Holiday Weekend. Opening on Friday August 22nd with a line up that includes Carl Craig, Gilles Peterson and Matthew Herbert, the venue will go on to host parties from Ghostly International (headlined by Matthew Dear) on the Saturday and M-Plant (headlined by Robert Hood) on the Sunday.
More details (including how to get there – the place is kind of wedged between Shadwell and Wapping) are available on the brand spanking new Hydra website, along with various competitions and future event line ups.
