Masafat Festival Announced

Masafat – a multi-arts festival connecting London and Cairo – have confirmed dates for September. Organised by Morell of Peckham based imprint Rhythm Section under the 3333 organisation – the events will kick off in London on 1st September with the follow up in Cairo on 20th September. 

In partnership with the ICE, the Arts Council and British Council, the London programme will see the likes of Mumdance, Mark Fell and Gaika perform, while the date in Cairo serves up sets from Lee Gamble, Rezzett and Beatrice Dillon – with all events live streamed on Boiler Room. 

Along with these performances, talks and workshops will take place on subjects spanning music in the Middle East, film and art development in the Middle East. Independent film screenings will also feature across the two dates, documenting arts in the area.
