Rhys Chatham Returns With His First New Album In 3 Years

Rhys Chatham, who was tutored by Terry Riley and went onto to channel John Cale and Tony Conrad in his work, has a new album 'Pythagorean Dream' forthcoming. Named after the guitar tuning employed on the recordings, the album is a complete solo project from composition to performance and production. His previous albums featured members of Sonic Youth, Tortoise, Godspeed You Black Emperor! and Modern Lovers, and is merited as having significant influence on the noise rock scene including My Bloody Valentine and The Jesus & Mary Chain.
