Orbital Split Once More, Paul Hartnoll Debuts New Music

After a successful reunion in 2008, the brothers Hartnoll have once more decided to call time on Orbital. Paul Hartnoll has followed up by immediately announcing his new 8:58 project. "Orbital had stopped working properly." he writes "We had a great four years since getting back together in 2008, but it was time to move on."
Today the first 8:58 track became available – and whilst it has retained the skittering percussion Orbital have utilised so effectivly, it also nods to the sentimental soundtrack classics of Ryuichi Sakamoto. The forthcoming 8:58 album is available for pre-sale, and a tour has been planned, running over the following dates:
February 2015
Wed 18 Oxford 02 Academy
Thurs 19 Norwich, UEA
Fri 20 Glasgow 02 ABC
Sat 21 Manchester Ritz
Tues 24 Bristol 02 Academy
Wed 25 London 02 Shepherds Bush Empire
