The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) annual trade show kicks off next week in California, traditionally the stage for musical instrument manufactures to unveil their new flagship pieces of gear.

Each year in the buildup, particular corners of the internet are set alight with rumours and debate as to what to expect – with manufacturers building carefully orchestrated teaser campaigns to heighten anticipation.

This year, Moog have released a tease on a new ‘Paraphonic’ analog synth – while Roland have drip fed details of a new generation 808 – the AIRA, releasing a short promo film on it :
