Mugwump Launches New Label

Music

Having carved out a name for himself releasing killers through such scene leading labels as Kompakt, R&S, DeeJay Gigolo and Throne of Blood, Mugwump has unveiled plans to launch his own brand new outlet, ‘Subfield’. The label will run through !K7’s Label Services division, as home to both forthcoming Mugwump tracks, as well as from others in his circle, and is mooted to span the full range of electronic music.

The first release is the 'Interluudes EP,' released on vinyl on 22.09.14. It's set to feature three new Mugwump productions: the psychedelic disco-dub workout "Satori Crossroads", bleepy techno piano anthem "Share of Thee Grail" plus the unreleased A Love From Outer Space fave instrumental version of his O Children remix

Of the new label, Mugwump AKA Geoffroy says :
"So far, I've been given the chance and time to work on my Mugwump project with, quite frankly, some of the most amazing dance labels around. Now having my own platform, via !K7 label services, will help to strengthen and truly showcase the diversity of the Mugwump sound while also venturing into further music areas, and bringing new artists with me in the process."

To celebrate the launch of the label, Subfield will throw label nights through Mugwump’s Leftorium clubnights where he will be joined by special guests: on August 8th in Brussels (boat party at Brusselbad) with NYC’s Max Pask (Populette/Throne of Blood) and on the 20th September in Paris at La Machine du Moulin Rouge (for the 'Nouvel An Belge' festival) with Ivan Smagghe, Jackson & Tobias Thomas.

More launch parties throughout Europe will be announced soon.
