Luminelle Recordings Launches With New Ep From Montreal Singer Helena Deland

Texas-based music blog Gorilla vs. Bear are launching a brand new label called Luminelle Recordings, in collaboration with Mississippi indie label Fat Possum.

Their first signing is Montreal singer Helena Deland, who debuted with the Drawing Room EP back in 2016 and played her first UK gigs last month. 'There Are a Thousand' – the first song from her new 12" – occupys that sort of graceful, autumnal state reminiscent of artists such as Natalie Prass and Real Estate, with a softly psychedelic swirl. It's a masterful piece of songwriting, and we can't wait to hear the whole record, which you can pre-order here.
