Lobster Theremin Release Detroit New Blood

Detroit new boy Rawaat has been snapped up by techno experimentalists Lobster Theremin for a 5 track 12" EP. The 'Day Labourer EP' is a pretty tasty shot of neo Detroit, veering from shimmery ambience and fuzzy short circuit house, to straight up, balls out techno romping. Rawaat has been carving out a name for himself with a series of releases on his cassette-only imprint, Crisis Urbana, a label that has proved to be a breeding ground for a whole new lo fi Detroit scene. This first release for Lobster Theremin rightly sticks with the gritty aesthetics of Crisis Urbana, momentarily detouring down a techy-ier house route with a remix from the man like Huerco S.
