Listen: Picnic34 Return With ‘Tempesta Di Valvole’

Music

'Storm of Valves' is the translation here. Obviously a very apt and succinct description of a lot of Techno, which more often than not sounds simply like a pulsating rhythm machine, some kind of energetic, clunking mechanical heart, the core of a larger industrial body driving determinedly forwards.

The newest offering by Lucretio & Francesco Devinceti to the PicNic34 stable is a solemn, six minute, heads-down chugger, it vibrates, it pants, it fizzes and reverberates. More extrovert is the b-side's Vladislav Delay remix, which adds a syncopated cowbell rhythm and has much more fun with it's arrangement.

Lucretio and Francesco dubted their hardware setup at Berlin's Arena Club earlier this month at the 'PicNic34 Record Nacht', alongside sets and performances from labelheads Mannella and Marieu and Emily (Texas). Definitely watch out for the next one.

The record is released on 30th November through PicNic34
