lib dems beaten by bus pass elvis
It’s Friday, it’s sunny, it’s time for some good news.
The lib dems have stooped to a new low on the back of the recent Nottingham City Council bi-election result.
Tony Marshall, standing for the lib dems, received a grand total of 56 votes in the Clifton North Ward vote on Thursday – beaten by 11 whole votes by the candidate known as Lord Biro representing the ‘Bus Pass Elvis Party’.
Perhaps this is the start of a new coalition government, perhaps not the type Nick Clegg envisaged.
It’s a bad day for the lib dems, but let’s face it -they deserve it.
