Le Sucre's 'Black Atlantic Club' Party Announces Dates For March And April

Music

For the past three years, Lyon's Le Sucre has hosted Black Atlantic Club, a monthly party dedicated to African music and its derivatives that "aims at opposing itself to the lazy and ethnocentered formula of 'world music'." Live music is also integral to the night, with each edition also hosting a band to occupy the 1am slot in an effort to "challenge visions of nightlife in the era of the ubiquitous Saturday night DJ".

Previous lineups have played host to heavyweights including Romare, Lefto, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Laurent Garnier, Auntie Flo, Awesome Tapes From Africa and countless others. View the upcoming listings below:
