Justin Robertson… an actual legend!

That’s a good place to start for someone of this calibre isn’t it. We can’t tell you how excited we are to have him back again at FARR Festival this year. 

Song writer, creator of cosmic disco dub, Balearic love and bespoke techno. Thanks to the folks at Red Bull Music Academy Radio, we’ve managed to get our hands on an exclusive recording of Justin Robertson’s live set from Bugged Out Weekender. 

If you didn’t already know Mr Robertson’s music lineage here’s a little ole recap: 

– Beginnning life as a DJ in Manchester, his early nineties clubs Spice and Most Excellent were cornerstones of the burgeoning acid house scene.

– Artists such as the The Chemical Brothers cited him as their mentors his influence in the city is undeniable.

– After remixing a track for Mad Jack, a flurry of others followed, from the likes of The Shamen, Candyflip and Erasure.

– Justin’s Lionrock debut long player as Lionrock – An Instinct For Detection today remains something of a cult classic.

Justin still plays records of most excellent quality the world over. 

He can next be seen appearing at Bugged Out’s event on Friday alongside the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery and Ghost Culture at XOYO.
