A new Boiler Room podcast of then 17-year-old Dilla includes input from mentor Amp Fiddler.

"Welcome 2 Detroit Dissected - A talk with Amp Fiddler and Raj Chaudhuri" surfaced yesterday following the discovery of a previously unheard of Dilla mixtape containing rare tape demos from when he was just 17. The files are from Dilla's own MPC as well as unheard demos can be heard at 3:30 and 4:30, with other demos playing from 6:00 to 7:30.

Packed with discussion and other unheard surprises from Jay Dee's mentor, Amp Fiddler, this is a must for anyone with even the most passing interest in the Late J Dilla's work.

This comes at a time when a lot of Dilla music has recently surfaced - in August Boiler Room released the late musician's Back to the Crib mixtape whilst in June instrumentals from The Diary, Dilla's posthumous 2016 LP were released.
