Falk returns this August with ?Idiot Box?, 3 massive cuts of acid tinged deep house from the UK?s mighty Joe Europe.
With a regular support list that reads like a who?s-who of house and techno, London based house devotee Joe Europe has developed a solid reputation with his trademark deep, dubbed-out sound, masterfully fusing a spectrum of influences from across Chicago, Detroit, hip hop, jazz and dub. As well as promoting two of London?s freshest under-the-radar warehouse parties; Ears Have Eyes and Disco Biscuit; 2012 brings with it the launch of Joe?s own Ears Have Eyes label. ?Idiot Box? follows a string of successful releases on Vitalik, Falk, Monique Music and Teleskopik.
Title track ?Idiot Box? opens the release with a hypnotic tripped-out journey through deep house, with dreamy spoken word vocals layered over delayed chord stabs, a solid percussive groove and an acid bass hook that evolves and intensifies throughout.
?Into The Woods? provides a more upfront approach for the dance floor with a
massive acid hook and huge chord stabs laced with spacious reverb layered over a marching bass line and Joe?s trademark groove to create a twisted atmosphere for the club.
The closing track ?Space Head? is a heavier slice of upfront percussive funk tinged with a playful vibe with a deep bouncing bass line rolling under a sea of shimmering chords, filtered orchestration, fluttering strings and Latino percussion.
We have an exclusive of The Old Stuff for download for y'all.
