Floating Points Shares New Track ‘Nespole’ + Announces Live Show
Sam Shepherd has released another track from his eagerly anticipated Elaenia album, due out on 6th November. Following last month's premiere of 'Silouette (I, II & III)', newly unveiled 'Nespole' steps away from any obvious live instrumentation and is all compressed, cleanly rotating synth chirps and swells, under which the edge of the bass sharpens from a dull thud to squeaky modular synth.
Shepherd is also appearing at the Islington Assembly Hall following the release of the LP, on 17th November. Pre-sale tickets are available now via Songkick, whereas general sale commences on Friday 25th September.
Here come those new sounds;
Elaenia can be pre-ordered through Rough Trade and iTunes, or you can get it direct from the Floating Points website and download 'Nespole' and 'Silouettes (I, II & III)' right now. Otherwise get it digitally, vinyl-ly and CD-illy on 6th of November.
