Flaming Lips Announce Miley Cyrus Collaboration

The Flaming Lips have announced the full, stellar cast of artists they have worked with on their Sergent Pepper's tribute album, the ickily named 'With A Little Help From My Fwends'.

As befitting a recreation of one of the most iconic works pop music has produced, Wayne Coyne has pulled out all the stops on the collaboration front, with Ransom Note's favourite line up appearing on the Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds cover: Flaming Lips featuring Moby and Miley Cyrus. The weariness we feel when we see that Miley 'controversial' Cyrus has jumped on a glaringly obvious drug song could probably be bottled and sold as some new form of chemical warfare. Later on the tongue challanged goblinchild pops up once more, this time on 'A Day in the Life', and again, we're willing to bet she bagged the line about having 'a smoke'. Crazy, Miley, real crazy.

Away from the – doubtless amazing – Cyrus fandango, there are appearances from the slightly more credible in My Morning Jacket, J. Mascis, Dr. Dog, Phantogram, Tegan and Sara, and Grace Potter.
