Dirty Beaches Side Project Night Musik To Release Techno Album

Multi-instrumentalist Shub Roy has spent the last couple of years touring with Dirty Beaches, the sprawling Montreal based project of Alex Zhang Hungtai. Whilst on the road promoting the bands feted Drifters/Love Is The Devil album of 2013, Roy has been working on his own music – apparently snatching hours to record in hotels, trains and backstage rooms. The resultant tracks are now being gathered together and released as the album Transit, under the name Night Musik.As with the Dirty Beaches work, Transit doesn't fit easily into any genre, flitting between ghostly, plodding techno, industrial murk and ambient wash  – and as with Dirty Beaches it makes for both a difficult and rewarding listen.
