Debut Lp By Tomorrow The Rain Will Fall Upwards Due In August

Music

Their is certainly some mystery behind Blackest Ever Black's artist (artists?) Tomorrow The Rain Will Fall Upwards. The curiously monikered project, which first broke cover in 2014 with a 10” offering of two “elegies in dub”, returns with 'Wreck His Days', a debut LP due in August. Whether it is a band or a solo artist, the album features performances from Conrad Standish, Jonnine Standish (HTRK), Genevieve McGuckin (These Immortal Souls) and Lucas Santanna. It is described by the label as "an overtly politicised album, with a frank endorsement of socialist values, a dedication to women who have fought oppression throughout history, references to the Spanish Civil War and the UK Miners’ Strike, and an overarching belief in the international ideal." Musically it touches on balearia, dub references and psychedelic touches, and you can listen to a track from the album here now.

Tomorrow The Rain Will Fall Upwards – Wreck His Days is due out on Blackest Ever Black in August 2016 and can be pre-ordered HERE.
