Dawn Gold- New Lp On Mad Decent – Stream

Deviating from their usual dayglo club bangers, Mad Decent have just released 'Still Life', the sophomore album from Dawn Gold. The album trades in layered, hushed folktronica and bedroom soul –  we haven't been able to face listening to the obligatory Diplo trap remix treatment (sounds like a bad idea from the off tbh) – but the album proper is proving to be quite a grower. This indicates the label's further commitment to 'doing an XL' – i.e. shifting from releasing predominantly dancefloor material to focusing on a wider genre non-specific 'good music' remit, check it out below, and buy a physical copy from Mad Decent store
