Crystal Castles Announce New Album, Stream New Single

Crystal Castles have announced that their 4th album, Amnesty (I), will be released on August 19th via Fiction Records. They've also uploaded new single Char as a taster for the album. Char offers plenty for Castles fans- it's a lurching synthetic ballad with a beat and melody staggering between sweetness and collapse; business as usual then. 

There had been some speculation as to whether the band would release any more material, with the shows around last album III characterised by singer Alice Glass's increasingly fraught emotional state, followed by her departure from the duo. Now working with Edith Frances, a singer whose voice is not a million miles from Glass's ethereal tones, producer Ethan Kath has announced a long string of live US & European dates to tour the new record:
