Most early European house producers pilfered heavily from both Chicago’s established house royalty and or as in this case from many balearic oddities. Here the 1988 release by Corporation Of One magically melds a sample of Simple Minds classic instrumental ‘Theme for Great Cities’, a vocal clip from Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (!) and beats from Man Parrish’s ‘Hip Hop, Be Bop’ – in what were days of limited technical equipment and ability it’s crudeness is it’s pleasure.
