Cornelius Announces New Album ‘Mellow Waves’

Japanese multi-instrumentalist Cornelius has announced details of his first new album in 11 years.

'Mellow Waves' will be released via Rostrum Records, the same label that discovered Wiz Khalifa, on 21st July. The album is his first full-length since 2006's 'Sensuous' and mixes "eastern avant-electronica and krautrock with jazz and bossa nova".

Keigo Oyamada, has been performing since he was a teen and created his alias Cornelius in the early 90s. He's been titled a "modern day Brian Wilson" and has produced and remixed for a number of artists including Blur, Beck, Bloc Party and James Brown, as well as scoring music for films.
