Comm•Une Open Recording Studio In East London

comm•une collective, the music and subculture community has opened a recording studio in East London. Located in Hackney Wick, their main aim is to provide affordable studio access for emerging producers, DJs and musicians. The space is part of a vibrant community of musicians, producers and other creatives housed in a building dedicated to music. A full spec iMac and DAW set up is complemented by analogue hardware including Elektron Machinedrum MK2, KORG Electribe R, MicroKorg and Roland Boutique JU-06 and software synths such as Rob Papen Albino 3 and NI Komplete 11. Hands-on controllers and decks include MPC20, Technics SL1210 MK5Gs and Rane Serato SL2. Away from the studio, the collective recently started a music film and documentary screening series at House of Vans and have a monthly radio show on Balamii.
