Coby Sey, Tirzah, Moor Mother & Laurel Halo remix Lafawndah on new EP for Latency
A collection of musicians were asked to reimagine material from the critically acclaimed album “The Fifth Season”. Originally released in 2020 the album was well received and showcased Lafawndah’s left of centre take on experimental pop music and avant garde.
Coby Sey has collaborated with Tirzah to remix “Le Malentendu” in what results in a futuristic r’n’b take destined for intimate moments.
Moor Mother highlights spoken word on a version of “The Stillness” whilst Laurel Halo crafts an ominous, ethereal soundscape with her version of “You, at the End”.
The EP is forthcoming on Latency, the Paris based record label founded in 2013 by Sidney Gerard and Souleymane Said.
