Campfires single
3 tracks of beautiful, wistful lo fi pop from this Chicago outfit. I havent come across such a perfectly named band for some time; this literally sounds like a ragged fireside rock out, perhaps after a weekend spent amassing Woodcraft Folk Storytelling & Poetry badges (btw, Im proud to say I picked up one of these myself when I was rolling with the craft back in 86). Nostalgic as a crumpled photo, short and sweet and delightfully harmonic, this is raw and soothing and upbeat in a cant-be-arsed kinda way, and all the things you could want a piece of tiny label US indie to be.
