Brian Eno set to release extended version of ‘Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks’

Music

Brian Eno's seminal album ‘Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks’ is set be remastered alongside brand new material.

Written and produced with his brother Roger and Daniel Lanois, the album was originally recorded in 1983 as the soundtrack for feature-length documentary 'For All Mankind', directed by American journalist, film director and screenwriter Al Reinert. The new extended edition of the album has been remastered by Abbey Road's Miles Showell and features 11 new compositions that reimagine the documentary's original soundtrack.

The tracks from the original album have been streamed in excess of 300 million times with many featuring in other films, television shows and adverts such as Trainspotting, Traffic and 28 Days Later.

The album is set for release on 19th July to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Watch the visuals for brand new track ‘Like I Was A Spectator’.
