boxfresh start 1989 fm with nts takeover

Slightly weird news. Boxfresh are starting up their own Internet radio station, 1989FM to celebrate 25 years of life for the brand. Kicking things into life on February 28th with a six hour takeover of (proper internet radio station) NTS – the broadcast will feature Breach, DJ Hype, Eats Everything (playing a jungle set) and garage oldie Matt Jam Lamont.

Quite what they do beyond that is anyone’s guess, but they do have a ‘Boxfresh 25’ party planned with Skream down the line and the station will apparently (according to the Press Release) be an ‘online hub for Boxfresh music and youth culture’.

How long before ‘Boxfresh Music’ becomes a genre on Beatport?
