Body Double Reissue Tom Diabo’s Long Lost 80s Post Punk

German auteur Tom Diabo passed away in 1988, after nearly a decade of battling brain cancer. Aged only 30, the guitarist left behind an archive of recordings, jagged shards of searing post punk and acoustic melancholy recorded to a two track tape recorder. These recordings have been long sort after by collectors, appearing on a tiny clutch of limited releases put out by Diabo's family and friends. Now Body Double Records is re-issuing the Dark Star compilation, a collection of 17 tracks from Diabo that fully demonstrate a talent that was cut off too soon.
Listen to Little Pilgrim below for a taste of Diabo's unique syle, and pre-order Dark Star on LP or CD from Captured Tracks over here.
