A FEW MORE THINGS FROM IVAN SMAGGHE (AND FRIENDS)

Avoiding any second coming anecdotes and clichs the now crop-cut clad Ivan Smagghe presents a follow up, a second chapter, to his last selection. Here is the second collection of edits commissioned by Colette, and inspired by Ivans eponymous blog: still chic and limited, still obscure and committed. This continuum of strange mainstream and forgotten heroes, with no genre barriers is
the tie that binds Ivan and his fellow archivists. He curates this unexpected sequel defined only by its intentional lack of musical focus. Accessible in its obscurity, this CD contains edits by Plein Soleil, Mugwump, It’s a Fine Line and Battant– all contributing to that not-so-bad general axiom: ‘the anarchy that acquired taste may well be’.

As previously, this is a strictly limited release, one run only.
A 12″ legal release of long lost Chicago classic Civil Defense by Danny Alias will soon be out on Ivan’s label Kill the DJ. It will include unreleased tracks by Alias and a totally new edit by Get A Room!
IF you’re clever, dont settle for a poorer quality taster.
