Please introduce yourself… Who are you, where are you and what are you?

Marcus Marr, I am in brixton, a dj and musician.

What does your music sound like? Can you draw what you think it sounds like for us (an image from the old internet is acceptable)?

It sounds like Sergei Skripal's shell suit top

Where was the mix recorded?

At home in brixton

What would be the ideal setting to listen to the mix?

A carefully cleaned hot tub

What should we be wearing?

A pair of scalloped shorts

What would be your dream setting to record a mix: Location/system/format?

Location: The Mariana Trench

System : through Ridley Scott's old Tannoys

Format : a combination of the wheels of steel and the wheels of plastic

Which track in the mix is your current favourite?

Laurence Le Doux – Envelope or Bella Boo – Is It Rude To Wear My Shades

What’s your favourite recorded mix of all time?

Kylie Jenner. Las Vegas. 2016.

Also, and its not a dj mix but an album mix.. its Raw Power by the Stooges (which proves mixing isn't as important as content).

If you could go back to back with any DJ from throughout history, who would it be and why?

Who : Maybe Ron Hardy at the music box. Would like have been there the night he played Acid Trax for the first time

What was your first DJ set up at home and what is it now?

First set up was a cassette player. I used to do pause button edits. Then I got a vestax mixer and one technics 1210. Now its the usual technics and pioneer combo.

What’s more important, the track you start on or the track you end on?

The track you end on

What were the first and last records you bought?

First was Ronald Binge – Elizabethan Serenade. Last was Cobra Edits #3

If this mix was an edible thing, what would it taste like?

Ritter Sport (Rum and Raisin). Had it for the first tine last night and my life is new. Also respect for putting the word 'sport' on a chocolate wrapper.

If it was an animal what would it be?

A dumbo octopus

One record in your collection that is impossible to mix into anything?

Napalm Death – You Suffer

Upcoming in the world of…

An Ep of remixes of my Familiar Five EP is coming out now. I am currently working on more original music for later in the year.

Anything else we need to discuss?

We need to discuss the fungi of Northern Europe.
