Katerina: The Ransom Note Mix

It's not all that often that someone comes along and catches attention with immediate effect. Katerina has found a home amidst the Comeme collective, the label and imprint run by Matias Aguayo. Having appeared previously with the odd track dotted here and there on compilations and split releases she is now ready to unveil a powerful 12" EP all of her own which punches with a sense of promise and intrigue. Living in Berlin but originating from Finland and Bulgaria she has amassed a sprawling collection of influences and this much is clear in both her production and dj sets. As a regular at Helsinki clubs Kaiku and Ääniwalli she is known for extended, lengthy sets and has the knowledge and experience to work an audience for hours at a time.
We are delighted to welcome her to the Ransom Note mix series and we expect very big things are in store for Katerina.
