IRM x R$N bring Saeko Killy’s live debut & Philipp Otterbach to Peckham this April

Inner Rhythm Mysticism and the good ship Ransom Note are joining forces for a new series of intimate London parties. The first one lands at Vespers Club on April 18th with its opening statement.

Saeko Killy, if you don’t know her, is a Japanese producer currently based in Berlin whose music exists somewhere between worlds – new wave filtered through J-Pop, NDW, and Industrial; drum machines laced with dubby reverb slaps and vocals that drift like transmissions from a half-remembered sleep.

Her second album Dream In Dream, released on Bureau B earlier this year, was pinned as one of The Guardian’s top 10 experimental albums of 2025, and it’s not hard to hear why. Recorded entirely in Berlin in 2024, the record sees Saeko writing and playing almost everything herself, weaving between Japanese, English and German across nine tracks that toggle between blissful downtempo dreamscapes and uptempo excursions for the psychedelic dancefloor.

Mixed with Sebastian Lee Philipp (Die Wilde Jagd), the album brings out the harmonics of her collection of Korgs, Yamahas and other modern riffs on classic synths into something warm, hypnotic, and genuinely hard to place.

This is her first live show in London, and Vespers Club on Rye Lane feels like exactly the right room for it: intimate, serious, south of the river.

Joining her is Philipp Otterbach, Salon des Amateurs affiliate, one half of the legendary Substance nights alongside Vladimir Ivkovic, and a name whose discography reads like a guided tour through the more shadowed corners of contemporary electronic music: Knekelhuis, R.i.O., Music From Memory, Offen. His sets move between ambient drift and slow, noirish club music, with a patience that comes only from decades of deep listening. The perfect foil.
