Rødhåd is one of techno’s fastest rising stars. The Berlin native has gained impressive ground over the last year thanks to consistent output on his Dystopian imprint and his epic closing sets at a certain legendary German discotheque. He makes a rare London appearance this Easter Sunday at ‘Gay Dance Party’ Chapter 10.

Rødhåd means 'red head.'

Haha, sometimes I feel like a vampire, yes. It s crazy, I do so many things at night, but still have the energy to handle my daily life under the week from 8 am in the morning on. Maybe i am more like a red robot – Kraftwerk!

I have to say, hate and beef take too much energy away – I try to be calm always. It doesn't make sense to loose power for such unimportant things… Keep cool !

WHAT WAS THE MUSIC OF YOUR TEENAGE REBELLION?

My father was really into rock music, so me too. Of course like all other Germans I liked Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, but was never the biggest fan. My rebellion music is maybe still the techno music – the music which made nights into days and let me explored the city of Berlin!
