This Week… Sugar Tax And Killer Robots
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything. Mark Twain
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it" – F. Bueller
"I feel like a pig shat in my head" – Withnail
"It's not vanity to me, it's my sanity" – Sister Sledge
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please." M. Twain
Now that EVERYTHING IS OK with the Skripals, who are 'getting stronger daily', it comes as a surprise to read that Russia began testing live missiles in the Baltic, which forced Latvia to shut down their commercial airspace — Sweden warned of travel disruption also. Imagine if a European country did the same in waters surrounding the UK meaning our airspace was closed, hmm?… People would go fucking mental. The world that we exist in day to day, our prescious little bubble of 'normality', would burst. It's really fucking odd. Do we live in a computer game? What year are we in? Fucking war games, m8.
Yes. Get a life.
The sugar tax is here. I'm all for a healthier society but if they are going down this road then the HMRC should follow up on those big corps avoiding tax, eh!
Did you hear about the pensioner held over the attempted murder of a burglar? What a fucking stupid course of action. The 78 year-old pensioner was defending himself against a criminal. The burgler was commiting the crime. The burgler took the risk. The burlger paid the price and nearly got murdered. I bet the burgler was high on sugar.
Watch below as one burglar viciously assaults his burglar mate whilst they are attempting to burgle a shop. Throw the fucking book at him, Judge.
The UN have had a meeting about killer robots and leading AI experts have boycotted a South Korean university over a partnership with weapons manufacturer Hanwha Systems.
Now for some sport.
That was the sport.
Now for something else.
Anyway, let's end on a high.
See you next week. x
