There are direct trains to Guangzhou, which takes only one and a half hours. On the way back, it was lunch time so we wanted to try out the food carriage. By the time we finished a dish of squid and broccolli, around 15 ticket inspectors came to get their lunch. I was pretending to see the view from the window but I checked ticket inspectors’ lunch. The first thing they did was moved the table cloth back to save the cleaning. It was not only the rice bowl, each table of four shared 6 dishes, which were not on our menu but we had eaten enough by then.
