Pop Up Screens Return

Art & Culture

London has been fortunate to receive such a spectacular range of pop-up cinemas on offer this summer and it seems only fitting that Pop Up Screens, the self-proclaimed pioneers of outdoor cinema, should return to the fray and get in on this new burst of love for outdoor screenings.

Pop Up Screens are promising a perfect evening consisting of an excellent film, cold beers and delicious burgers, the ideal night out for any film obsessive. Whatever kind of films you're into, there's something for you to gaze at on the alfresco cinema schedule. Perhaps you'll reminisce in front of films such as The Breakfast Club or Labyrinth (Bowie and puppets = sure-fire success… somehow…) or you might fancy having a good laugh with cult classics inclusing Anchorman and Shaun Of The Dead.

Throughout the summer, the super size screen will visit some of the capitals best-loved parks, including Morden, Fulham, Blackheath, Hammersmith, Holborn and Greenwich. Each screening will allow you to indulge yourself with burgers, popcorn, sweets and, most importantly, a fully stocked bar which will make your outdoor experience that little bit more special.

Beginning on Friday night (11th July) and running until late-September, Pop Up Screens have got more than enough brilliant films to keep your inner film nerd pleased. And, unfortunately, they have Mamma Mia. But nobody's perfect.

Pop Up Screens season of Alfresco cinema runs from 11th July – 27th September, for more information click here.
