Transport Theatre Take New Production ‘The Edge’ On Tour

Art & Culture

From the theatre company behind Invisible, 1001 Nights and Elegy comes a new production The Edge from the Transport Theatre company with original msuic from Raymond Yui. This production fuses climate change and mirgration with a meeting between two people connected by climate change, one who is training to swim the channel and the other who's history has been shaped by a great storm and, consequently, becomes a climate change refugee. This wet and windy love story highlights the merge of two different cultures by the connection of changing weather patterns and a shared experience of the ever changing world they come to know. (Will Hugh Grant feature as a cameo, reinacting his rain scene from Notting Hill? Probably not…)

This story comes from real life narratives which makes the story ever so real and touching. Transport Theatre will be touring the production around the country starting at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich from the 8th to the 10th of October and finishing in the Salisbury Playhouse between the 12th and 14th of November.
