The National Gallery Announce Soundscapes Exhibition

Brand new exhibition 'Soundscapes' will be on show this summer at The National Gallery featuring a fresh perspective of six paintings from the collection, accompanied by compositions created by leading sound artists Jamie XX, Nico Muhly, Susan Philipsz, Gabriel Yared, Chris Watson, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller.
Curated by Dr Minna Moore Ede, the exhibition is a part of the 'National Gallery Inspires' programme and aims to shed a different light on familiar paintings in the gallery's collection. The six paintings were chosen by the composers themselves enhancing the connection between visual and sonic art. This type of exhibition experience has never before been displayed at The National Gallery and will open on the 8th of July to the 6th of September in the Sainsbury Wing.
Tickets are on sale now and can be found on The National Gallery website.
