Steve Mcqueen – New London Show Planned

The artist/ director Steve McQueen has announced his first London show since the run away success of 12 Years A Slave. The exhibition will open in the Thomas Dane Gallery on October 14th, to coincide with London's Frieze Art Fair. According to the gallery, the exhibition will feature work that "further extends the range of McQueen's enquiry into the image and image-making," at the centre of which will be new film Ashes, a Super 8 shot production, with sound, filmed in the West Indies and designed for gallery projection.
12 Years A Slave romped through the Oscars, grabbing McQueen the award for best picture, along with awards for best supporting actress (Lupita Nyong'o) and beswt screen play.
