Sara Pope Launches Boxpark Exhibition
Artist Sara Pope unveils a ‘Pope-Up’ (haha, good one!) art exhibition at London’s Boxpark, featuring her Lips series of works. the exhibition will also Pope launch the first edition of her portrait of Pope Francis.
Sara Pope’s work hit the big time in 2014 when the portrait was accepted by the pontiff to form part of the permanent Vatican art collection. The Pope Francis prints will be exclusively available to buy at the Boxpark exhibition, the portrait will be hand finished with 23ct gold leaf and in a limited edition of only 250.
Within the Lips series there will be two new prints on sale at the pop-up gallery, and other works included will be from Sara’s Violent Femmes series.
Sara Pope will be holding a Q&A evening at Boxpark between 6.30 and 8.30pm on Thursday 2nd July.
The ‘Pope-Up' Store will run in Unit 26 between 30th June and Sunday 5th July at Boxpark.
