News: Scalarama 2015 Season Of Cinema

Throughout September, the Scalarama month of cinema takes place again, with a number of locations over the UK showing classic and cult films in pubs, clubs, public gardens and cinemas. The season will take in a variety of documentaries, underground cinema and Hollywood stalwarts of cinema.
There are classics aplenty with Kabinett, Liverpool, showing Back To The Future (followed by a live comedy podcast recording) on 3rd, and showings of Alice In Wonderland and Breakfast at Tiffany's are going on at the Morecombe Winter Gardens throughout September. You can catch Terminator at Meantime Brewery, Once Upon A Time In America at the Prince Charles Cinema and biopic of Brian Clough The Damned United at Hoylake Community Cinema.
Underground films come in the form of Girlhood, directed by Céline Sciamma about a teenage girl who joins a gang to reinvent herself, The Decline of Western Civilization, an American documentary film about the 70s Los Angeles punk rock scene directed by Penelope Spheeris, and the pretty grizzly looking Nightmares of a Damaged Brain at Glasgow's CCA.
The idea is to "fill the land with cinemas", for a month of intense movie viewing.
