Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibition To Open In London Next Year

Some twenty eight years after his death Jean-Michel Basquait will be remembered with a debut exhibition at The Barbican in London. The artist's sometimes polarizing work has been heavily debated over its merit and value. His early work saw him take influence from an underground lifestyle in New York during the 1980's. Inspiration came in the form of jazz, eclecticism, street culture and expressionism. The show, which will be titled “Basquiat: Boom For Real”, will largely focus on his early career and features over 100 pieces of work. More details can be found on The Barbican's website HERE
