Eisenstein In Mexico: Three New Interpretations At London Event

Influential film maker and originator Sergei Eisenstein shot 50 hours of footage on location in Mexico in 1931 and 32, but was not able to finish the cherished project. An event in London will screen three hypothetical versions of Eisenstein’s film, offering wildly different approaches to what the film might have been. The event is presented jointly by A Nos Amours and Kino Klassika Foundation, at Regent Street Cinema. Kino Klassika Foundation raises funds to educate audiences about film and film materials from the countries of the former Soviet Union. Participants will include academics, film makers and journalists and film theorists.
Eisenstein in Mexico takes place on 24th April 2016 at Regent Street Cinema. More info and tickets can be found HERE.
