Petit Presents…El_Txef_A (with Rampue, Grizzly and Rob Shields)

The TBar's final home returns to London’s clubland with a showcase of top new talent…

East London's legendary TBar changed the face of clubland with its forward-thinking music policy, midweek rave-ups and free admission policy. After six years, two homes and countless nights of dancefloor tomfoolery, it finally closed its doors in 2010. Now, Dukes House in Aldgate (TBar’s final resting place) is back on the scene with a fresh lick of paint, a new Funktion-One system and a night showcasing some of this year’s most innovative house and techno artists.

Independent label on the rise, Petit Records, which has received major love from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Danny Howells and jozif, has curated an impressive international line-up to mark the venue's return. Topping the bill is talented Spanish producer El_Txef_A (pronounced "Elchefa"), making a rare UK appearance. The 25-year-old made his mark with releases on labels such as Suol, Hypercolour, Permanent Vacation and his own Fiakun imprint. His acclaimed debut album, Slow Dancing In A Burning Room, dropped earlier this year and is bound to be a staple in the 'best of lists' for 2012. Among those championing El_Txef_A's emotive sound is Hot Creations label owner Lee Foss, who featured him on his recent Radio 1 Essential Mix.

Performing live for the first time in the UK, Rampue is a young gun two bullets away from stardom. His heavy productions evolved after he moved to Berlin in 2011 with a style suitably described as Keta-Disco. Think Nicolas Jaar meets John Talabot, with looped vocals, wobbling bass and haunting chords. His latest track, Somebody Like You, received almost 100,000 listens across social networks in less than two weeks.

Berlin's Grizzly is already a familiar name thanks to his incredibly popular podcasts, re-edits and tight productions. His Grizzlynation parties in his hometown have hosted the likes of !k7’s Richard Davis, Tevo Howard and NU, in renowned venues such as Horst Krzbrg and ://about blank. Petit invited Grizzly to mix an exclusive podcast, which has already received thousands of listens and downloads this month.

Last but by no means least is London’s own Rob Shields, whose outstanding debut release on Petit Records, Slum Room, was the opening track of Maya Jane Coles’ much-loved Resident Advisor podcast. Expect an eclectic blend of leftfield, vintage sounds and samples, as well as live synths on the night.
