TUSK Festival, the annual gathering of almighty musical forces in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK that has galvanised a strong international reputation over its two editions to date, has announced its return for 2013: Star & Shadow Cinema is once again the venue, and the first act announcements to have emerged point towards another monumental weekend of high-grade, head-melting sonic energies from all corners of the contemporary music sphere.

The final round of line-up additions for this year’s TUSK Festival, taking place in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in mid-October, have just been announced and include:

Longstanding luminary of UK psychedelia Neil Campbell aka Astral Cocial Club, maverick improvisor and filmmaker Hugh Metcalfe performing soundtracks to his Super 8 films, Two Mark Fell sound installations (in addition to his live set at TUSK), “64 Beautiful Phase Violations” and “Sonic Materialities”, opening at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art from October 11th (more details to follow) and Tokyo sonic warrior Blackphone666, bringing his unique set-up of old-style telephone receivers primed for noise for an exclusive appearance outside of Japan.

This new batch of names augment the existing line-up of: Jessika Kenney & Eyvind Kang, Mark Fell, Jar Moff, Oren Ambarchi, Smegma, Endless Boogie and many more.
