LEGENDARY CHILDREN PRESENTS TERRY FARLEY
This February LC are delighted to welcome a man who has been a champion of LC more or less since day one. We have been privileged to play a couple of his Boy's Own parties and so now (at last) it is our great pleasure to welcome him to ours at Vogue. No prizes for guessing.. it's Mr. Terry Farley!
You probably don't need too much educating on the man Farley, but here are the edited highlights: He came up through the rare groove scene in the mid 80s, to be one of the first to champion Balearic and Acid House sounds towards the end of the decade. His fanzine Boy's Own became the 'voice on the terraces' for those who wanted to know about the new sound and the parties that were attendent to it. Boy's Own later became Junior Boy's Own, which featured releases from X-Press2, Chemical Brothers and Underworld to name a few.
But despite his glittering past, he is not a man made of former glories alone, these days he runs House bible Faithfanzine, lowkey club-for-the-soul Gentleman's Pinch and new label Strobelight Honey.
He is a brilliant dj, an excellent producer, a devoted label-head, man-for-all-seasons and a top, top bloke.
For more insight read our interview with him here from last year.
Our January party was wall-to-wall, so be sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
