Hear No Evil presents

Art & Culture

Soho based creative music consultancy, Hear No Evil launches its first of many Hear No Evil presents nights in 2011 at XOYO on May 6th.
Combing award winning visuals from animation studio Not To Scale & VJ HobbyBoy, support from new mens accessories brand Stighlorgan and a separate Room 2 launch party for new DJ collective Oonst (the residents behind Superfilth, Trouble Vision and Deadfish) the night is set to showcase a huge melting pot of European creative talent whilst keeping one eye firmly on the dance floor.

Dorian Concept Live (Ninja Tune/Affine Records)
Arguably the most talented producer to come out of the whole beats movement so far we have been following his work for some time and are extremely excited to welcome him to XOYO. The Austrian keyboard wizkid will be performing live showcasing new material on Ninja Tune & Affine Records.

Kenton Slash Demon – Live (Tartelet/Kompakt)

Copenhagen based, Kenton Slash Demons sound is both organic and futuristic and goes way beyond the confines of standard dance music. They have been described by German music magazine De:Bug as house music as Indian free jazz opera which goes some way towards explaining why such varied DJ/producers as Claude Von Stroke, Hot Chip, Gold Panda, Brodinski & Tiefschwarz count themselves as fans.

Deadboy – (Numbers)

In a short amount of time Deadboy has racked up DJ sets at venues such as Fabric and Plastic People, mixes for FACT magazine and Radio 1 alongside various dates throughout Europe and abroad. Playing a mix of new and old garage, UK funky, house, bassline and dancehall hes rapidly gained support from the likes of Kode9, Modeselektor, Zinc & Martyn.

Mosca (Fat City/Nightslugs)

2010 was a great year with his debut ‘Square One EP’ kick-starting the Night Slugs label, from which ‘Nike’ was voted no.1 in XLR8R’s favourite tracks of 2010. Since then hes remixed Four Tet and Foals while ‘Tilt Shift’ on Fat City united ravers from grime youngers to soulful house heads.

Si Begg (Noodles)

Longtime Hear No Evil composer/sound designer, Noodles main man and all round electronica legend Si Begg brings his
unique take on wonky techno into the mix.

Throwing Snow (Ho Tep)
Having remixed Gold Panda last year, Hear No Evil producer Throwing Snow is one to watch in 2011 as he prepares for
coming remixes for Ninja Tunes and Domino Records.

Plus a live UK Debut from Austrian producer Zanshin (Affine), DJ sets from Oonst/Deadfish residents Oli DAB vs Robin, Arrowsotothesky and Trouble Vision main man Mr Solid Gold.
