Fyf Fest 2015 – A Pre-Flection

City Festivals are on the increase and spearheading the way on the West Coast is FYF fest. Now in it's 12th year, the festival started by ambitious 18 year old Sean Carlson in 2004 is in full swing attracting a  host of major names from Morrissey, D'Angelo and Frank Ocean, taking in Savages, Dinosaur Jr and Chet Faker along the way. See the full line up for FYF fest. The venue is the LA Sports Arena and Exposition Park meaning you can soak up some rays in the city whilst watching the bands too.

The city location means they've lured all of LA's best food trucks too, curated by Nic Adler, they're promising mac n cheese waffles ( gimme), vegan delights courtesy of Sage, organic burgers and falafel and smore's flavour donuts from Donut Friend.

And if you appetite isn't satiated by the excellent line up of bands and treats on offer they are raising the bar literally with an epic drinks line up courtesy of Brett Helms. They've got spicy margaritas on draft (!), cucumber vodka cocktails and and artisan wines but beer fans never fear Stella Artois is also on hand should you be after  a more traditional festival drink.

What's more they've banned selfie sticks, glowsticks and hula hoops which cements that these are people with excellent taste so this should be a ball. I'm not sure where they stand on flower crowns but hey a girl can dream, meanwhile see you in line for a draft margarita and some music.
