First Labels Announced For Independent Label Market Summer 2015

Art & Culture

We are so over Record Shop Day. If we're honest, battling to get into Rough Trade against a sea of part timers looking to grab a One Direction scratch n ' sniff 13" (limited edition of 6,666) has lost all it's charm. Independent Label Market however, is pretty much always great. 1) you get actual  bargains as well as rare goodies 2) you can force your to the front of the queue at the XL Records stall (there's always a queue) and jam your demo into Richard Russell's hands YET AGAIN WHY DONT YOU CALL ME RICHARD.

So, anyway, the first label's throwing their hat in have been announced – here's what the press release is saying:

Independent Label Market are delighted to announce they will be returning to Old Spitalfields Market on Saturday 11th July, for the fifth Summer market in London. And once again, Independent Label Market will be supported by AIM – the Association of Independent Music.

We are very excited to be welcoming a number of new labels set to make their London debuts. Amongst them we have Midnight Riot, Black Acre, Sofrito, Blue Red Green, four three six, Original Peter Record Hunting Bags,Shogun Audio, Vibration and The Wine Scouts.

As always we are delighted to have a number of our regular traders back including 37 Adventures, Because, Believe, Big Dada, Claremont 56, Earth, Fire, Eglo, First Word, Lex, Ninja Tune plus Infectious, Marathon, One Little Indian and Beggars Arkive making a welcome market return.

Once again, the brewers market will be running alongside ILM, so you can get hammered on real ale as you buy vinyl. Which is a terrible idea, but y'know, go for it.
