Alfresco Festival 2016 Moves South For Three Day Event In Tunbridge Wells

Art & Culture

After five years in Blackpool, the ever growing Alfresco Festival has moved south and this year pitches up over three days in Tunbridge Wells this May Bank Holiday weekend. With headliners Jennifer Cardini, Ivan Smagghe and a UK premiere live set from VoX LoW topping the bill across several stages, Ransom Note are proud to announce that they will also be hosting one of the areas this year, with details on that to follow.

Nein Records commandants Tronik Youth and Jonah Considine will be bringing back their infamous igloo, playing host to acts including Kiwi, Craig Bratley, Duncan Gray, Heretic, Matt Walsh and culminating with Jennifer Cardini.

As well as Ivan Smagghe and VoX LoW, the main stage will also showcase Sean Johnston & Logan Fisher, The Emperor Machine, Days Of Being Wild (Live), C.A.R. and Reza Athar.

Further musical escapades include parties in the woods from We Are The Sunset's guests (with Felix Dickinson headlining), a laid back Armchair Sessions stage and a roller-disco where anyone from the dozens of artists on the bill will rock up on the decks. The mysterious Pork Chop Express will also be present, hosted by Deadly Avenger.

As with previous Alfresco events, there will be camping facilities on site, and tons of free entertainment for those bringing children along to this family-friendly festival. Locally sourced fine fare, quality beverages, street art and pop-up stalls will fill any non-musical holes too, all set in a fantastic woodland area, with a lake and stunning fields. Good move.

Alfresco 2016 takes place at Colebrook Lakes, Tunbridge Wells, Kent on 27th – 29th May. Full information and tickets can be found HERE.
